乔纳森•林, of Framingham, has been awarded the Foster Furcolo Scholarship. Lam is a member of the Psi Beta Honor Society and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor society. He completed his certificate in 人类服务 in fall 2018, and he will graduate with his Associate degree in 心理学与社会学 with a GPA of 3.98. Lam will attend UMass Boston this fall to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. His long-term goals include earning his Master’s degree in Social Work and working directly with children.

The Foster Furcolo Scholarship is named after Massachusetts’ 60th Governor, John Foster Furcolo. He was the first Italian-American governor of the Commonwealth, 社区大学的积极推动者, and a member of the United States House of Representatives from 1949–1952. 每年, one graduate from each of Massachusetts’ 15 community colleges is awarded a prestigious Foster Furcolo two-year scholarship to attend University of Massachusetts Boston to honor the legacy of Governor Furcolo.
